garlic-onionIf you love gardening but lack the space or would like to garden with others, a community garden plot may be just the thing for you! You can grow organic produce and flowers in your own plot in the company of fellow gardeners! Check out the following community garden locations for more information:

California Gardens Community Garden (CG2)
The California Gardens Community Garden (CG2) was started in 2011, through the Cook County CPPW Model Communities program. 2016 marks our 5th growing season. A sincere thanks to all who helped create this garden, especially the local businesses and residents who donated service, time and muscle.

Location:  CG2 is located in the lot at the SE Corner of 141st/Francisco – next to the Blue Island Recreation Center (2805 141st St, Blue Island, IL  60406).

Plots: The garden consists of 25 raised-bed plots, of the following sizes, that can be rented for the season.
