On Monday through Friday, Blue Island community programming is broadcast from from 12 am until 10am at which time Eisenhower High School broadcasts school related content until 1:30pm. Blue Island community programming resumes at 1:30pm and continues throughout the day until 11:59pm. On the weekends, Blue Island Community programming is broadcast throughout the day with the exception of Eisenhower’s “Red Rising” sports programming on Saturdays from 4pm to 6pm.

BITV’s programming consists of an assortment of 60 and 30 minute programs as well as a loop of community announcement slides and video public service announcements. Currently, BITV broadcasts can be viewed by Comcast customers on Channel 4 and simulcast on AT&T U-Verse.

Interviews with the Mayor. City sponsored events like the Parades, TGIF Picnics and sporting events. Blue Island Rec Center events. Blue Island Police Department events and Interviews with the Chief. Senior events like pumpkin painting etc. Many other assorted community related videos.

Recent favorites include: Tea with  Mrs. Santa, Holiday Lights 2009, Agility?, and Beauty Queens Dunk Chief. New videos are being added all the time. Keep checking for updates.

To have your non-profit event broadcast on WDDE, pick up a form at the City Clerk’s Office or download the BITV Event Request Notification Form . The form can be returned to the City Clerk’s Office, 13051 S. Greenwood Avenue, faxed to 708-597-8223, or e-mailed to wdde@cityofblueisland.org. Forms should be submitted 30 days in advance of the event.
