Wednesday, April 9th, 2014

Lots of thanks to the Cub Scouts and their parents who volunteered to help with the landscaping at Veteran’s Plaza. They helped pick up trash, pruned roses and butterfly bushes and removed some of the winter annuals. They were guided by troop leaders Cliff Black, Joe Ruiz and Urban Forestry Board members Perry Recker and Laura Mast. And a special thanks to Val Kehoe for leading the volunteer clean up efforts and for donating so much of your time to keep Blue Island beautiful!
