Construction Alerts

May 14, 2008
Beginning after 8:30am, Thursday, May 15, 2008 Vermont Street, under the Gregory Street bridge will have periodic road closures from 5 to 8 minute delays. This will be a safety proceedure, as the cranes will begin to remove the beam supports one at a time. We know this will be an inconvenience however it will prevent Vermont Street from being closed for many hours at a time.

April 22, 2008
Beginning Monday April 28th 2008 traffic on 127th St, between Artesian and Highland will be down to one lane in each direction. All residents and visitors should be aware of this construction project and seek alternate routes.

March 1, 2008
Starting, Saturday March 1, 2008 Gregory street bridge, over Vermont street.Traffic will be reduced to 2 lanes with signage & barriers for the first phase, then switching to the next 2 lanes. This is a IDOT project and is expected to be completed in June 2008. This should have minimum effect to traffic flow.

Motorists should use alternate routes and SLOW DOWN in all construction zones.
