Join us as we celebrate our community and our country at the first-ever Blue Island Fireworks Festival! Bring your friends and family and enjoy music, food, and shopping before watching a dazzling fireworks display over the waterfall and Cal-Sag at dusk. Free parking and free admission!

Volunteers Needed!
There is an opportunity to volunteer to clean up the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District Sidestream Elevated Pool Aeration station, known as MWRD SEPA 3, along the Cal-Sag Channel at Chatham and Fulton streets for the 3rd July Fireworks Festival from 1:00 pm to 5:00 p.m.

Please sign up by emailing your name, address, and email address to Marisol Barerra at mbarrera@cityofblueisland.org. Volunteers should wear light clothing, a hat, sunscreen, and gardening gloves. Gloves will be provided at the clean-up site as well.

Metra Commuter Parking Lot Closure
The Irving Avenue and Fulton Street Commuter Metra lot will close beginning at 10:00 p.m. on Monday, July 2, 2018. The lot will reopen for parking on Wednesday, July 4, 2018. Free parking for the Fireworks Festival is available at the lot located at the southeast corner of Fulton and Chatham.
