Blue Island Fireworks and People’s Parade 2016

The City of Blue Island celebrates America’s Independence with two fun-for-the-family events. On Sunday, July 3rd join us at Eisenhower HS. Fireworks begin at dusk. Parking around the school will be available for a fee to help raise money for the fireworks. It’s always a wonderful display and a good way to celebrate the 4th with neighbors and friends!

Mayor Vargas will start our July 4th with his Veterans’ Breakfast at the Pavilion at Memorial Park at 9am. The People’s Parade will begin assembling at Memorial Park at 10am and kickoff from the corner of Walnut and Highland at 11am. The route will wind through the neighborhood and end up back at Memorial Park for a City-wide picnic. So come on out with your group, sports team or other organization and walk in the Peoples’ Parade! Download the parade route here.

Wear your red, white and blue and celebrate the birthday of this great country!
