Public Works puts on donated lights and ornaments

Tomas Gintila, owner of Express Carriers Corp, 3301 Wireton Road in Blue Island donated a 30ft Pine Tree he had cut down from Wisconsin, Christmas Lights and decorations to the City of Blue Island. The Tree is located at the corner of Western Avenue and High Street. We encourage residents to make ornaments and hang them on the lower branches of the tree. Thank you Mr. Gintila for your GENEROUS donation.

We would also like to thank the Blue Island Family Dollar for donating 1,825 feet of garland to the city for our community Christmas tree!

We are so fortunate to have such great businesses in Blue Island!
