Blue Island Waterfront Development Public Meeting

Please join us again or for the first time to help us wrap up what has been a very productive public Waterfront Development project input process. In 2013 we hosted a series of events to inform residents about the recent lease of 130 acres from the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago and gather community input on how to transform the Cal-Sag Channel into an inviting and scenic front yard for the community. These events included public forums, place audits and stakeholder meetings—all of which produced a wealth of input for the improvement of Blue Island’s waterfront. We would like to invite you and your colleagues to our final community meeting to share what we’ve heard and gather any final ideas for the long-term waterfront development plan that will be published in the coming months. We welcome all residents, business owners, community stakeholders and supporters of Blue Island to respond and add to what we have compiled to reflect Blue Island’s vision for a better waterfront.

Join us: Saturday, January 25th 10:00 A.M. to Noon
Memorial Park: 12804 Highland Ave. Blue Island
