FREE CONCERT
July 2, 2012, 7:00pm

Folk artist, Bucky Halker will perform This Land is Your Land: Woody Guthrie and the Great American Folksong! On July 2nd, bring a lawn chair, a snack, and a sing’n voice  to the Blue Island Public Library parking lot, 2433 York Street (if it rains, the concert will move into Christ Memorial Church, 2440 York St).  This event is brought to you by a grant from the Illinois Humanities Council.

FREEDOM EXPRESS VISITS BLUE ISLAND
July 3, 2012, 10:30am-2:30pm
The Chicago Tribune and Robert R. McCormick Foundation brings the Freedom Express to the BIPL. The Freedom Express is a traveling museum exploring First Amendment freedoms of religion, speech, press, assembly and petition. This is an interactive exhibit with artifacts that explore the historical context and contemporary relevance of our constitutional freedoms. Special guest, order cialis from canada Dr. Ben Franklin will be hosting the event from 11:30am to 1:30pm. This event is free, bring the whole family!
