Special guest Joseph Koek, comes to the Blue Island Historical Society from the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center. A holocaust survivor, Mr. Koek will talk about growing up as a Jewish child hidden by the Dutch Underground during World War II. This free event is sponsored by the

Did you know as well as being one of our nation’s Founding Fathers, Ben Franklin was a scientist, an inventor, a statesman, a printer, a philosopher, a musician, an economist? Learn about his impressive accomplishments and exciting life portrayed by a professional impersonator as Franklin comes to life at the BIHS! This interactive history lesson allows guests of all ages to ask Franklin questions, see his authentic wardrobe, and be swept back in time to the 1700′s! Don’t miss this great, family event!

Spring Tea
