Remember Martin Luther King Jr.

The Blue Island Public Library and other sponsors are commemorating Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Sunday, January 16, 2011 with a 3:00 pm event at Advocate United Church of Christ, 2440 York St in Blue Island (across from Blue Island Library).

Oba William King is the featured speaker.  King is an actor and recipient the Illinois Arts Council Fellowship Award and Gwendolyn Brooks Hands on Stanza’s Award.

Advocate United Church of Christ Gospel Choir will also be performing.
