The City of Blue Island Senior Office is an official drop site for the Eisenhower NHS Book Drive.
The National Honor Society chapter from Eisenhower will collect new and used books for kids in grades K – 3. The City of Blue Island will be accepting books from now until February 28th. The Senior Office is located on the first floor of Blue Island City Hall, 13051 Greenwood Ave.
To celebrate Read Across America (sponsored by the National Education Association) and Dr. Seuss’ birthday, NHS will give the donated books to local school children. NHS will visit District 130 schools to read with kids and give them books.
In the past four years, the book drive has resulted in 3,500+ donated books! Blue Island is proud to support your efforts. Great job!!
