Halloween Tea

It’s tea time! Gather your friends and family for an afternoon full of tea, cookies, and fun at the Blue Island Historical Society, Saturday, October 23rd, 2010 at 2pm.  Reservations required, tickets are $15 per person. All proceeds benefit the BIHS. Costumes suggested.

Chicago’s WLS Radio History & Book Signing with Scott Childers

From the National Barn Dance to Top 40 to present-day Talk, Childers chronicles the evolution of this household fixture which began in the 1920s. Childers will explore the station’s history and sign his book “Chicago’s WLS Radio” of the Images of America series. This free event is brought to you by the Blue Island Historical Society and the Blue Island Public Library.

Eisenhower High School hosts a fundraiser for Salvation Army CrossGenerations on Saturday, October 16, featuring live performances from fcbc (a tribute to Michael Jackson!), the Eisenhower Cardinal Dance Team (winner of five State championships!), and up-and-coming pop artist Joshua Forever.

Mission POSSIBLE is sponsored by MetroSouth Medical Center, City of Blue Island and Eisenhower High School.

All ticket sales and additional donations will be donated to Salvation Army Crossgenerations.
