Join the Arts & Culture Committee on Thursday, April 22nd at Tenochtitlan for an evening of ART!
A $20 donation will get you delicious Mexican fare, a raffle ticket, a chocolate table, entertainment, interactive art and live painting. There will also be a cash bar and silent raffles. Donations will be used to purchase supplies for mural artists, supporting artistic and cultural endeavors in Blue Island. Come out, support local art and know that when you drive by the mural in late summer that you helped create something truly beautiful. Become a part of history! Tenochtitlan is located at 12947 Western Avenue. The pARTy kicks off at 6pm and runs till 10pm.
Experienced painters should attend this event to find out more information on how to become a volunteer artist for the installation.
A wake service will be held for Homewood Firefighter/Paramedic Brian Carey, who died Tuesday night, from 2pm – 9pm at the Blake & Lamb Funeral Home in Oak Lawn on Monday, April 5. His funeral will be held at St. Bernadette Parish in Evergreen Park on Tuesday, April 6 at 10am, followed by his burial at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleum.
