The Blue Island Historical Society invites you to the 2nd in a continuing series of walking tours through historic Blue Island. This 2.5 hour tour is hosted by Mike Wolski, a lifelong Chicago Southsider, historic preservation expert and architectural historian. The afternoon includes a stop at remnants of the original Stony Creek, plus a peek inside two historic buildings, where refreshments will be served. Bring your walking shoes!

As previously mentioned on August 25, 2009, the City has now posted the Analysis of Brownfields Cleanup Alternatives (ABCA) for public review and comment.
The comment period starts today, September 3, 2009 and will conclude on October 2, 2009.
