The City of Blue Island is offering free television ads for Blue Island Businesses on the City’s cable channel WDDE to help with this difficult holiday shopping season.

Regional planning organizations Metropolis 2020 & Metropolitan Mayors Caucus are working with Community Development Department staff to develop a Housing Policy Plan for the City of Blue Island. The study is a part of Homes for a Changing Region, a 3-year project aimed at identifying strategies to address the housing supply and demand imbalance in the six-county Chicago metropolitan region through year 2030. The Housing Policy Plan for Blue Island kicked off in late-November 2008 and is expected to be complete in Fall 2009. Additional details will be posted as the project progresses.
