The City of Blue Island is applying for a 2009 USEPA Cleanup Grant to help offset redevelopment costs at the former landfill at 119th/Vincennes. Public discussion on this grant proposal will occur during the regularly scheduled Plan Commission meeting held at 6:30pm on November 12, 2008 in the City Hall East Annex building at 2434 Vermont Street. You are encouraged to attend and share your comments and to ask any questions about this important redevelopment project. All comments will be submitted to the USEPA with the City’s proposal.

A copy of the draft proposal will be available for public review at the Community Development Department (2nd Floor, City Hall) beginning 10/31 through 11/14/2008.
